Great concept, spirits and ingredients sourced entirely from the region. Owner Vijay Mudaliar’s mission isn’t going to be easy, but I think Native will be part of growing tide for Asian craft spirits .
Creative cocktails and exceptional service are the highlights of this regional themed bar . Antz is a must try, but the Ikura and homebrew gin are exceptional too.
homemade gin (distilled on the premises), try it in a G&T or Martini . Cocktails on the menu are great as well . Great atmosphere and passionate staff .
Cocktails with regional spirits and ingredients . Scents driven with many home brewed and distillate cocktails . Absolutely a great experience
Peranakan ($28). Not a drink you can make at home. Rum infused with jackfruit , laksa leaves, gula Melaka (palm sugar), & more. See the dark jelly on top? It’s made using curd of goat’s milk . Smooth
Pandan ($28). Was told this is their strongest drink in the Classics menu. A take on Old Fashioned , it’ll be an acquired taste. I couldn’t appreciate the pandan & aniseed mix of aroma in the whisky
Oolong Highball ($28). Setting the stage of a salaried Japanese office worker grabbing a drink otw home: towel to wipe down, & snack to nibble. Dominant Oolong kombucha nose. Easy to drink
Heads up, those are real ants . My friend ordered it and it came with a basil leave base. Service from the bartenders were impeccable. Drinks were creative. Definitely not your typical cocktail bar .
Tree of Life ($28). Celebrating all things coconut . Arrack, coconut water , coconut nectar , coconut milk . All these served in a coconut shell cup. sweet, aromatic, easy to drink
What a treat! The bartenders were vry attentive and explained the inspiration behind each drink featuring regional ingredients. Check out the 2nd floor where they experiment with new flavors

If you are not in a mood for Asian cocktails , ask for beer or a flight of a particular spirit. Caution: ask how much is the flight; our Thai 'rum ' was $45 for 3 samples

Local and regional spirits feature here. Bartenders are creative and chatty. This is the real deal, but don't come here expecting your ordinary old-fashioned.
Loyalty card. Spend SGD 50 for one stamp, at either Native or Analogue (@ CHIJMES). Collect 10 stamps to redeem a drink. Card valid for 3 months from first stamp
Their serving glasses are ceramics made by local potters, with designs & stories to match the drinks

Excellent uniquely mixed cocktails , not for the traditionalist. Amazing vibe, love the story of each drink.
Very, very interesting. The staff is enthusiastic, the drinks are weird but cool, and the vibe is solid.

Pineapple Arrack ($28). Sweet drink with of course, strong hints of pineapple . Not impressed with toasted pineapple garnish ; was told to nibble at it but was untidy. It should just left out
They claim to stock and use only spirits from the Asian region. We saw India, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, China.
Bar on level 2 has a loft that can probably accommodate another 15-16 pax

Poor ventilation. Beware when they have pop-up collaboration with food options. We left the place with our clothes & hair smelling of cooking oils
