The plaza covers 2 sq blocks of the State Capitol grounds, is the site of 23 memorials commemorating the achievements of Governor Bolin and other prominent Arizonans. On the eastern side rests the anchor of the USS Arizona, sunk during the Japanese raid on Pearl Harbor in 1941.

Don't be afraid - I went to the Arizona State Capitol today and there was FREE parking. I was certainly excited. I briefly saw the Capitol museum, and it looked very interesting. I'll be back soon. - Sam Tongue
