Chester Cathedral

It's really amazing there's lots to see,massive building in the heart of Chester,very high ceilings and beautiful stain glass windows ,easily spend a few hours there,has a cafe

Apart from the amazingly old pieces of the building, the tower and the LEGO replica they build the restaurant is great as well

Great Cathedral to visit, no entry fee, loaded with History and charm this place is a gem, a well kept secret! from 2014 the Tower is open for a fee to discover the fabric of a 1000 year old building ,

(Province of York, the Cathedral Church of Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary, consecrated 1541) Formerly St Werburgh's abbey church and extensively restored in the 19th Century.

Stunning stained glass windows . Very peaceful place to sit and relax.

There's a little imp carved into the east side of a large stained arched window on the upper row on the north side, meant to temp the monks. ;)

Lovely cathedral with really interesting patterns.

Please don't visit Chester without seeing this 1,000 year old cathedral with the most complete monastic complex in the UK.

The Refectory is a nice peaceful cafe away from the bustle of the city centre.

Go around to the front to get in. Tiny door on side is not entrance!

Visit at 530pm, get in free and hear the choir sing evensong!
