Toyo has been our favorite local Japanese restaurant for a long time. It's quiet , friendly , simple, straight-forward. In addition to most of the old standards, it has quite unusual house specials .
A very diverse selection of Japanese dishes and sushi prepared with fresh ingredients , artfully presented. Gracious service, and when we've been there, a relatively quiet , serene atmosphere.
The Saba nigiri was literally the size of my palm!
They have gluten free soy sauce on request!
mackerel misoyaki is not bad.
