The location is amazing! The place is amazing, rooms are cute , reasonably small but warm. The breakfast is something that you need to try especially to meet the owners which are super nice! Thumbs up!

Stay here! Built and owned by an amazing guy over the last 20 yrs. This place is such a gem. Chill vibe with hot tub 24/7 to relax after a day of hiking at volcano nat'l park .

Island Bruin

Large rooms in the rainforest . But you may have to drive across the main road to get to breakfast depending on which room you are in.

the owner gave us a tip to drive up to the summit of mauna kea, no 4wd needed really. very true. if we knew it was that simple we'd have gone the other few times in the big island ! very worthwhile.
