Kensington Gardens London Greater London W2 2UH United Kingdom
This monument to the beloved husband of Queen Victoria celebrates Albert as a patron of the arts , science and industry. Its enormous cost (about £10m today) was met by public donations.
Amazing art ! This memorial goes some way to explaining how Victoria felt about Albert – it's so different to what you would normally find in London. Mesmerising.
Stunning memorial to Queen Victoria's husband . Lavishly decorated with gold, mosaics and marble .
It was designed shortly after Albert’s death by George Gilbert Scott (who was later knighted) and completed in 1872, although the central statue of Prince Albert was not placed upon it until 1876
Stunning monument to the memory of Prince Albert . Would we have something similar for Prince Philip?
Beautiful and so centrally placed as a reminder of how much Victoria loved Albert.
One of the finest works in England and not promoted enough. Visit it in the morning to appreciate all the details.
Very pretty on any day, but especially in sunlight and at twilight.
Great monument opposite another great place
It's a hinge monument , in from of the Albert theatre and inside the Kensington Gardens .
So much to enjoy in Kensington gardens .
The details are so amazing!
Nice place for skating and when the weather is nice there's often life music , very nice!
It's righ in front of the Royal Albert Hall and behind is Hyde Park .
The statue is raised to accommodate the mass grave underneath.
Worth a quick look

Lindo memorial!
