Great park , reasonably priced beer , and amazing when the Belmont Stakes are actually happening and/or at sunset

BYOB + food. Stake out a place and enjoy a lovely afternoon with friends, gambling is encouraged but winning is not guaranteed

If your here for the Belmont Stakes expect a long day with little shade. Try to bring something to mark your spot and make friends with the people around you. Makes leaving for comforts easier.

Here for the International Beer Expo. If you are coming for the pm session, bring your coat! It is ice box cold and there is no re-entry to get your coat if you leave it in your car.

Great value -- $5 for the races and chance to see huge planes landing at JFK all afternoon.

Always a fun way to spend the day and some money. You can byob so you have more to put on the horses !

Bring all the beer you want but it has to be cans! Glass bottles will be confiscated on site! Have fun and good luck :-)

At 1.25 miles, this place is the longest dirt racecourse in North American thoroughbred racing. In other words, if you want to complete a Triple Crown here, you have to earn it.

A Southern gal from Arkansas w parents running racehorses @ OakLawn, AkSarBen, Louisiana Downs, I grew up at the tracks ! The smell of horses , sound of starting gates, tote boards in my favor! BLISS

Ya gotta love this place. No better people watching anywhere. BTW, you can't bring booze in on the day of the Belmont Stakes!

Remember: you can bring booze into the picnic area if you’re wary about shelling out $6 for a brew.

Belmont Clubhouse is the best to enjoy the race :)

Belmont Park has free coat and bag check in located right by the clubhouse.

Bring a cooler with beer and food and spend the day hanging in the park , and betting on the horses . Races run from 1:00-6:00 p.m.

Actually, ESPN gas it wrong..the Main Track (AKA"Big Sandy") is 1.5 miles, NOT 1.25

BYOB as prices food and drink here are obscene.
