It's just a shuttle train . You can take it from Far Rockaway if you took the LIRR there.

If you have time & only carry on, take it. The ride from downtown NYC to Delta was hr&10min. A to Airtrain. Catch up on emails & scenery. $2.75-subway+$5 Airtrain on Metrocard = $ 7.75. no traffic.

Please remember SIM card vending machine is available in arrival hall incase if you want to buy a Sim card or Mobile phone.

The walk to your gate is just about 1.5miles for delta. Takes about 15min at least at a good pace
