Avoid at lunchtime during school breaks. It's a sea of middle-schoolers that will break your will to live.
This is a great place to park if you drive down to visit the Smithsonian museums. You need to arrive early, but it is worth it. A good food court with excellent deli and burger place.
Theres a smoothie king in the food court which makes a perfect mid-afternoon meal or snack. They also have cliff bars and such. You'll need ID to get in the building.
Have your ID ready, you'll have to go through security & a metal detector to get in the building. If you have a laptop or tablet in your bag, take it out & go through scanner.
This is listed as a tourist site on Trip Advisor, but it's just an office/business building.

If anyone is trying to sponsor an event in the D.C. area, this place is great. With many halls and dining areas, plenty of room to entertain guests.
Ample parking beneath the building. Be sure to park near where you are going(there's good signage) & keep track of where you parked - so you don't wander endlessly!

No ID needed to get into the building; just push the doors, get screened by security and you're in. Take the elevators to C for the food court.

They filmed Minority Report in the RRB courtyard - a fun fact if you've seen the movie look for the arc of the Ariel Rios building in the initial scenes too.

Food court is pretty good. There are even a few power sockets available. (Try a table near bassett's Turkey place).
The California burrito shop was delicious with huge burritos!
