my #1 spot in GR! good for casual dates, dinner/drinks, hanging with friends. sushi menu is served late. awesome sweet potato sushi ! love the fish and chips . don't order the cookie skillet - bland.
Great place for food and drinks, try the stuffed chicken , it is a personal fav. I also love the NY strip , those au grat potatoes are amazing :)
Roxanne is the best bartender/server make sure you ask for her. Makes awesome drinks and really caters to the customer :)

Really did enjoy the sushi . The sweet potato tempura roll was particularly surprising. Great balance of flavors.
The Shrimp and Grits is a good dish. Shrimp was cooked well but I could have done without such a large serving of the grits .

Try a bottle of the Pinot Noir , and order the shrimp rangoons . also try the spicy california rolls . makes for a great snack with a friend. The bar has a really chilled out , sexy vibe.
The infused cilantro vodka is amazing with the Bloody Marys ! Slurp some oysters with it too. So good!

The kobe tortilla salad is amazing. It isn't on the Republic menu but you can still order it. Warning: The girls working the front of the house are usually unorganized if it's even remotely busy.
The help is amazing. The Morrocan chicken to die for. The cheeseburgers are average at best. Sit on patio if possible.

The restaurant is spilt in two. The tables are super close together and really small. I was disappointed in the sushi menu. It was limited but the one roll we ordered was good.
