I am pretty sure the gay icon is a prank... Tuesday nights they have very good live traditional Scottish music players. Awesome!

Although not a gay bar , Stephen Fry used to visit when he lived in Dundee. Amazing selection of Whiskey , wall to wall.

hey Jamie, it's actually the other way round.. it's always been called the speedwell bar but there was a well loved landlady called Mrs Mennie - hence it's current moniker...!

tis very gay in the 'paris' sense of the word, I've had many a happy & gay evening in here! hurrah!

For those who are confused when looking for mennies the pub is now called the speedwell . Many locals still call it by it's old name mennies.

Drink some beer , or whiskey , here for a good time.
