Lolita Cocina & Tequila Bar

The hippest Mexican restaurant/bar in back bay . Rule of thumb of a Mexican restaurant : if the salsa is great, food will be awesome. And this Lolita satisfies this criteria with flying colours.

They start your meal with a complimentary shaved ice (with or without a complimentary shot of tequila in it), and end your meal with free green-apple flavored cotton candy . What's not to love?

Wow this place is the bomb! Everything we ordered was delicious including the crispy rock shrimp , chicken quesadilla , and crispy empanadas . They give you complementary cotton candy which is a bonus!

Believe the hype! We tried everything. The empanadas , carnitas nachos , chicken quesadillas , & pollo asado are to die for. The watermelon mango mojito was delicious! The service was great too.

Diablo margarita ! The street corn was awesome! Grilled steak tacos were also very good..they give you a grapefruit sorbet that comes out in a bowl that has dry ice so it looks smoky!

Very cool burlesque-ish atmosphere with dim light . Guacamole with bacon comes with 4 sauces which is a nice touch.

Amazing experience: tasty tacos , little surprises along the meal like the cotton candy for desert . And you can't go wrong with a margarita . Better make a reservation for your table

Great atmosphere. Good staff . Delicious Food. Get the guacamole and corn bread , it's totally worth it. If you don't know already, they give you cotton candy at the end of your meal.

Complimentary shaved ice w/ a shot of tequila , lobster enchilada , that corn , fried chicken tacos , strawberry basil mojito , Black Forest cake night cap... Just a couple highlights of my amazing meal!

Amazing food! The halibut tacos were outstanding as well as the strawberry mojito . Churros are amazing!!!! You have to eat here if you love Mexican food !

The atmosphere is really great but you have to book a table for the weekend a month in advance. I would suggest just going here for drinks at the bar so there's no wait and the atmosphere.

First time having food here, it was sooo good! We got picante guac , short rib tacos , and steak quesadilla . Everything was super flavorful! Also try the Diablo margarita , definitely has a kick

I ordered the corn bread based on the tips I saw here, and I can vouch it's incredible bread . You need to try it. A very well spent $6.00

The margaritas as amazing!!! This place is always a pit stop for me when I drop into Boston! One of my favs. Can get very loud so be prepared for that

Surprisingly they do brunch but the entree options are limited to 3. Got the broken eggs , but the shoestring fries made me tired of eating. The Mexican red eye is great.

Such an awesome place! Love the sangria , 3 salsas , and the cotton candy with pop rocks that comes with the check was so good! Mondays are all you can eat tacos for $7. Tons of fun for a date :)

Drinks were great- strong! They also give a few complementary items which is nice. The food is slightly underwhelming but fun atmosphere and drinks make up for it
