Island Beach State Park

everything! it's a very cheap entry fee to have access to nice bathrooms , showers , changing rooms, food courts , all in one place. the beach itself is not crowded and is clean

Beautiful beach . Arrive early on weekends. Park has limited capacity, closes after capacity has been reached. If park is closed, park on the street and walk in. Beach access just beyond the entrance

Good for kids . I personally think one should sneak in a very tasty picnic and some hidden booze to make this a perfect afternoon. Kids needs min. supervision due to the shallow beach and low waves.

Very nice! Clean beaches and not over populated with people. Watch for dolphins, we seen a group of 3 swiming. Not enough trash cans around for public use.

When Seaside gets too crazy, IBSP is an amazing refuge just a short drive and car fare away. As a SP, bring in, carry out.

Pay by car load 6 on weekdays 10 on weekends. Nice clean n hot showers . Downside is boogie boarding is treated like surfing or fishing n is only allowed in restricted areas

Gorgeous beach . Hardly anyone was there. We will be back for sure. Gates open no earlier than 6:30 though.

Great beach in new jersey. Cheap . Terrific beaches , great parking , and lots of beautiful scenery . Such a wonderful find for near sleazeside heights.

Saw a Fox and later read facts on the Island State Park web site stating that if you see a Fox you are lucky! It looked like a wet cat. Lol

Our favorite beach along the shore. Get here before 11am on weekends before the lots fill up. Have fun :)

Jersey local? $6 for a car full of people verses $7 each at Belmar. Worth the trip!

Besides sunscreen bring bug spray... for the flies there not bad but just in case ... quietest and cleanest beach ... !!!!!

Not much of a walking place except on the sanded shore, but that's a decent workout on its own. Saw lots of wild foxes on the roadway in!

Ten bucks per car with a beautiful beach !! Nothing is better!

Biting flies are likely to seize the beach if the wind blows from the west. They do sting!

Best time to go is with an eastern wind. No flys

The fishing is excellent and the beaches are pristine . What more could you ask for from a beach at the Jersey Shore.

Look for the ospreys, foxes and owls while there.

Public beaches are crowded . Go down the the unguarded beaches for peace and quiet and beautiful pristine beaches !!!

Best beach on east coast and a fall day couldn't be any better .

Take the kids to seine the bay at 1pm daily from swim area 1.

The weekends they close the beach from twelve till two so call before you drive here.
