BOSS HOG: 🐷Pulled pork tossed in Jethro's Secret BBQ sauce with Texas bacon , crispy onion strings and pepper jack cheese on a freshly baked bun . and the jalapeño corn and Mac & cheese !

The brisket was fine, just not smokey enough for me. I wouldn’t get it again. The jalapeño cream corn was excellent as was the cornbread muffin . The baked beans were very good.

If there's inside lighting other than beer signs and some strands of Christmas lights , it's very well hidden. Use your phone's flashlight app if you want to read the menu.

I don't know why but I've been there 4 times and they have never been as good as the original Drake location. Hopefully that will change because it is convenient since we go to Altoona often.

Love atmosphere and all food is awesome. They do great catering / they catered my daughter grad party!

on thursdays, not only is itwo for one wings , and the bbq rub is teally the best, but also they have 6 dollar pitchers of beer too, perfect combo

Best barbecue in 500 miles. We don't make the trip from Madison WI to Kansas City without stopping at Jethro's.

The "hot coleslaw " is seriously good. It's familiar to me from some excellent sauerbraten I used to have in Norman OK at the sadly no longer existing Zum Deutschen Eck.

The brisket is extremely delish, Saturday and Sunday the breakfast is the bomb.

Amber (bartender/server) is the best! Always a smiling face :)

Totally amazed that whoever owns the rights to Li'l Abner hasn't long since sued the pants off the owner.

If you've ever been to TX you'd know this BBQ doesn't even compare, but good for IA. I'd avoid the brisket as it was very fatty. If you must have it make sure to request it be cut from the center.

Brisket was the worst I've ever had. Sliced fat and gristle was more like it. It will be great for a dog though. Pit ham was okay as was the jalapeño creamed corn .

If you like nachos , they are a must here! Best nachos in town .

It's noisy in the outside seating area . The aluminum chairs are noisy and they are constantly moving them.

Awesome BBQ ! But the owners need to put up a fly strip or two. The flies are very annoying while trying to eat.
