After two visits, I can confidently say this place is incredible. Tour guides provide unique, detailed, fascinating information about Emily, et al, and the preservation work is a sight to behold too.
In the heart of downtown Amherst lies the Emily Dickinson Museum, which includes The Homestead, where poet Emily Dickinson was born and lived most of her life.
Make sure your tour includes The Evergreens, the house nextdoor. It's an incredible old house and all original. So creepy!
