Huge store with cheap prices, but it hasn't quite caught up with Safeway , Whole Foods, or Gus's in terms of quality food. It is by no means a bad store, it just isn't my first choice most of the time.

Kroger 's buying power allows them to regularly beat Safeway and Lucky, often quite significantly, but you do have to bag your own groceries .

Better prices than Safeway . The lines can be long. Employees are always friendly and helpful.
