When an Italian chef gets bolognese right, you can trust that all else will be great. Order yourself some of the small, shareable dishes, and then order that tagliatelle bolognese . Fantastic food!

Houston Chronicle

Don't miss: roasted eggplant rolls ; grilled stuffed radicchio leaves; grilled shrimp al diavolo in house-made harissa and garlic ; crostini with Tuscan liver pate ; tagliatelle alla Bolognese . Read more

It's a conglomeration of serving styles and Italian dishes , both large and small that make this neighborhood restaurant endearing and very, very good. [Eater 38 Member]

The house made pasta is incredible! Love the tortelli di bietola and the tortellini al sugo rosa. Life changing pasta .

Ricky A

No mozzarella sticks , but they do have Mozzarella in Carrozza , which is a really delicious appetizer . The food is inexpensive , delicious and fantastic.

Jenn

Tapas-sized dishes on the ciccheti menu, with dishes like cumin-spiced lamb meatballs and braised chicken thighs with sweet peppers and onions . Great place for a light meal and decent wine list .

Allen Arcade

The pork milanese is fantastic and isn't the typical flattened slice of breaded pork served elsewhere. It's large and in charge!

Allen Arcade

The best pork and beans in existence. :) Though they use fancier words for this dish.

Melania Spagnoli

Well served entrees, pretty tasty dishes. As an Italian, I would have expected more Italian details, like a basket of bread on the tables, or at least one Italian in the staff

Allen Arcade

The mushroom gnocchi is a must have. Be ready to take a map after downing a plate of this!

CultureMap Houston

Hawkins' selection of resonably-priced boutique wines served three ways: In the typical six ounces; three ounces; or nine ounces (if two glasses is a little more than you need with your meal).

Haavard Oestensen

Excellent menu. We were very happy with the eggplant-based dishes. Also, the pork butt cannot be missed.

Gnocchiiiiii. Just do it. As someone said once before I ordered, "It's so good you just want to rub your face in it!"

The three dip combo is a great way to try their variety of Italian and Italian inspired creations. Attached is the tomato goat cheese , chicken pâté and bean dip .
