Longshan Temple

Great architecture and perhaps the most prominent temple in the whole of Taiwan. Worth paying a visit as it is so close to Huaxi Street Night Market .

This is one of the most beautifully built temples in Taiwan . It's a very elegant architecture designed temple and it's also my favorite temple in the old district of Taipei.

It's worth to visit if you visit Taiwan..you can meet lots of local adherent of buddhism

I was fortunate enoughto visit them during their festive season and witness the parade of Gods. Do check the schedule online and try visiting during those days. The parade happens late evenings.

Hustling and bustling temple just outside the center of Taipei . Expect many Chinese / Taiwanese to do their prayers, which is quite interesting to see. Good spot for people watching .

One of the 3 temples in the historic Wanhua district (the others are Bangka Qingshui and Tianhou). Built in 1738 by settlers from Fujian. While you're here, visit the nearby Guangzhou Night Market .

Relatively small temple complex a few steps away from Longshan metro station that unveils some of Tapei's history. Recommended visit.

Nine to five is the busiest time here. Weekends are most likely the best to sit in the park across the street and people watch . Once you're through, cruise through Snake Alley.

Interesting place in the center of the city . The history is worth a read and so is a stroll around the surrounding neighborhood .

Come at night. About an hour from closing. Awe inspiring. Truly don't miss out. I have a feeling it is packed with tourists during the day.

Big temple , really nice to visit. Take MRT (blue line ) to Longshan Temple and then follow signs. It's more of a touristy place than a comercial zone.

This temple is magnificent. The atmosphere and scene are quite different in the morning and at night. Therefore, visitors will have different feelings about this place in different time.

Worshipping at night is often to me unorthodox but it's what happening here and many other temples in Taiwan .

1738年創建台湾最古の寺。観音を主神に仏・台湾の神様・媽祖など19神合祀。木片1組（杯筊：ポエ）を投げ、3回以内に表裏を出せばおみくじ を引くことができる。参拝後に貰える「月下老人」が持つ赤い糸は運命の人に繋がると言われ、縁結び の神様として毎年数千組のカップルを誕生させる若者に大人気のスポット。艋舺三大廟門・台北三大廟門・台北三大祖師廟のひとつ。MRT板南線龍山寺站4番出口すぐ。

この界隈は浮浪者が非常に多く、また昔は風俗店が多かった(今もこっそりあるみたい ですが)ので、治安があまり良くありません。女性観光 客のみで暗い場所にいかない方が良いかと思います。それ以外でもスリに気をつけて下さい。

パワースポットということで訪れたが、お坊さんや信者の方たちが、お経のようなものを口ずさみ、お寺の中を歩きながら拝んでいたのを拝見して圧倒された。
