I liked the Chinese lantern festival ! It was really fun to see the artistic abilities of people and what they can create!
The picnic in the park is a brilliant idea. Worked out great! Love the venue, was not too big but well laid out. Bathrooms were the only hiccup during the concert .
The Chinese lantern festival was a lot better than I expected. The detail and size of some of these lanterns is incredible.

If you sit in the ampitheatre area, you won't be able to see the fireworks . Also, watch out for all the ash.

Try the gluten free ZPizza. Tastes a million times better than turkey legs and shame.
Check the event 's policy on chairs and coolers. If it is a chair+cooler event , get food from nearby Whole Foods or Danny's BBQ . Food at venue is terrible.
If you go for the 4th of July, make sure to make your way over to the lake at 9:15pm.
