The omakase here yields bluefin toro , uni, and yellowtail . Chef Ike-san carefully crafts nigiri and other dishes right before diners, leading to a better than expected experience in this part of town .
Park yourself at the bar to experience chef Ike’s culinary precision (and charming personality) firsthand as he preps an omakase complete with clam soup , Spanish mackerel , bluefin toro , and anago.
Exceptional fish and rice . One of the all-time great sushi places in LA. Check out this pic of toro ; it tells you everything you need to know.
Sit at the bar to see all the action. Even though he is fast, Chef Ike likes to do all the sushi prep for all of his customers so be prepared to sit and watch for a long time in between courses.
Chef Ike-san's new place. Reservations only. Omakase only. $80Matsu set, $60 Hana or sushi set . Edo style sushi & delicious handrolls.Tastes refreshing and clean ! Now I don't have to go to the Valley!
For lunch you don't need reservations . Stick to the sushi (and sashimi ) bc the fish is sooooo fresh and good.
