Canal Walk
The Canal Walk is part of the Indiana Central Canal, which was dug in the early 1800s, in an effort to facilitate interstate commerce. Today, the refurbished Canal Walk serves the downtown community as a waterside promenade for walkers, runners, bikers and sightseers.

I'm in Indy every week and for the 1st time, I'm SO excited about finding an great, safe place to run! A clean 3 mile loop on a nice, paved, canal walk. Cafes , residences, and IU line the path. Nice!!

Concerts on the canal during the summer are great to attend. They are family friendly and good for a date.
I love it here, it's perfect for a date, hold hands and talk while you walk. People leave you alone do you can relax and enjoy whether on a date or alone.
Beautiful on a nice day, with lots of stops to look at. NCAA museum , state office buildings / statehouse, and more. Paddle boats too.

Ok for walking. I though it would be more "live" at night... Maybe more people there, coffee shops or people playing music ... A point of reunion for young people.. Should be like that.
