If you use a credit card often to buy a daily/OC Link pass, you can just insert your card into a ticket kiosk and it will pull up your last 3 transactions to pick from to buy. Saves times when late.
Tuesdays and Saturdays you can catch a free bus to valley view casino it leaves 9 am near the taxi turn out. Comes back between 5:30-6:00 pm
Power outlets are scarce. The cafe has a plug in the back upper deck. Charge your devices before you arrive!
Good place to chill , watch trains and sunset , and drink beer at the cafe next to the station (at the platform )!

Operation Changes at 7th Street Metro Center Station in downtown LA: All arrivals from Long Beach and Santa Monica will use track 1 only.

This station offers free parking . Well as of now at least.
This station services Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner between San Diego and Los Angeles with points North
If you are parking for more than a day then go to the ticket office and get a pass before parking .
Don't plan on being on time to where ur going. Amtrak is very consistent...consistently late!!

Watch for the speed trap leaving the station, westbound on Harbor Blvd.
$10 weekend pass is good on all metrolink trains and subway system.
If you ride the train make sure u get here at-least 5 min early
Be sure and keep your bags close to you. You don't want to get them stolen!
Read all signage properly as to not wait for your bus at the wrong loading zone.
Park on the side of track 3, then when you come home you don't have to cross the bridge tired.
Be flexible, trains very often run late

Nice station for coffee in the morning. Crowded though

I missed a train even I got here 10 minute before train arrives. The officer was talking to a customer for 15 min. Totally lame.
Head to the handi cap ramps. Fast way to board the trains .
