One of the best mexican food joints in Austin! They have great happy hour deals , and the Del Mar Enchiladas are to die for! Plus, the atmosphere is great. Can't go wrong at this restaurant .

Margs , all enchiladas including gulf shrimp , carnitas , all sauces homemade , fajitas , original taco filings, tortillas made in-house, great guacamole and queso .

Try the Rosa Rita , a smooth, frozen orange margarita (made with Valenton gold tequila ) that's kicked up with a sprinkle of housemade chili salt.

Every Thursday El Arroyo is the place to be! $1 margaritas all day! Great food and atmosphere, definitely worth a visit or two!

The grilled fish tacos come with a pineapple slaw and habanero aioli that make them absolutely delicious. Best I've had!

Good chips & Salsa . Didnt like the Enchilada Del Mar but waitress was so nice that she let me choose something else and had it out super fast!

Support the local economy. Order A Tito's handmade vodka bloody Mary . ( as long as you are 21 years.). Best decision of your day.

The service can be spotty but the food is worth it. Get the queso blanco and add mushrooms for some perfection.

Crab rolls appetizer (yuck). Stick to other plates, you know an love... Don't veer off into trying different plates unless you are ready for some ups and downs.

Great nachos ! unlike most Mexican restaurants , the "chips and salsa ' are not complementary, and $5 is too expensive for an assumption haha

In Spanish, "el arroyo" is a stream or creek. Despite this, El Arroyo's nickname is "The Ditch." We call it "delicious."
