From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fridays, the Greenpoint warehouse that supplies Russ & Daughters is open to the public. Pro-tip: There are no bagels , so BYOB .

Open to the public 8am-1pm on Fridays. Expect long waits (>1hr), free samples , and outstanding smoked fish . Prices range from $10/lb (tuna or bluefish) – $25/lb (sable). Smoked salmon is $16 - 22/lb

Heads up: Friday before Christmas & the one before New Years Eve are the busiest days of the year. Wait time is prob 30 minutes.

Get there at 8. Bring pre-sliced bagels . Sample everything, then buy everything because it's dirt cheap . I felt like I was ripping them off.

Acme doesn’t provide carbs on which to place your smoked fish , so get a bagel at Bagelsmith when you get off the L at Bedford.
