A small but cute patisserie with very flavorful and moist cakes . If you like raspberries try the Angie cake . Price for cakes about 5€. Staff is friendly and helpful. Coffee is average.
This pasteleria is worth a stop, not just for its excellent desserts . Its architecture is a great example of art nouveau. Go and discover all little details of the facade.
I used to come to Escriba when I was little and was pleased to find out that it's still the same charming place. Waffles , hot chocolate , the deserts ... All delicious.
Historic pastry shop , the visit at the store is a better experience than their cakes . Try a croissant instead and avoid the espresso .
Ask for any of their croissants ! It’s a MUST! Or their xuixos (a Catalan pastry stuffed with custard )… insanely good!
Ask for the Crema de Catalunya it is like creme brulee but with lemon and cinnamon which turns out to be a fantastic combination
Escribà have a second store, which is a lot bigger and far less touristy at Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes 546. Approx 13 minutes walk from here.
All desserts are more than perfect but especially their presentation and design... And free wifi :)
I loved what I order, the cheesecake , Sacher cake and cappuccino .
The cheesecake is delicious! The xocolat (hot chocolate ) 70% cacao . Heaven!
Delicious Macarons ! If you are traveling in Barcelona, you must go there!
American coffee is 1.6euro. And fantastic chocolate menus
We went for waffles but in my opinion, they were totally overrated - not baked well enough. It was very busy and the staff ignored us a lot. I'd definitely skip going here again.
Creme brûlée and Catalina creme waffles
This teeny tiny place offers uniqe tastes.. One of them here.. Lovely Alice...
Incredible and unique desserts , with original and beauty designs
Get the Suisse hot chocolate ! Amazing! And just for chocoholics - get with it the chocolate croissant ! Heaven!
Excellent desserts ! Try hot chocolate , woffles and carrot cake !
Cakes are super delicious! A bit pricey , but well worth it.
The cream filled pastries were great!
Go there for a hot chocolate , it's really thick.
Wow what a "hot chocolate " experience ???? go for little version and you will do 3 in a row ????????????????????????
Excellent cakes and desert and friendly services
Authentic little cafe on a most busy street in Barcelona. A bit touristy .
Let me just say that: there is no high-level-gastronomy where dirty restrooms are (came early in the morning, no roome for excuses). Service and food were also below expectations. But still good.
The pastries are okay but go for the cakes which are excellent!
Lovely little place for a tasteful, nice breakfast .
Has an extremely interesting facade. Macarons are also good but the staff has nothing to do with helping or showing interest.
What to say... MELTED CHOCOLATE WITH WHIPPED CREAM... In a cup!!! I know right?...
Tasty desserts and coffee
Llavi vainilla (Vanilla lips) - Wow! Awesome
It's worth a try
Spectacular Cheesecake ! Well worth the price.
Try the rambla, delicious with a wonderful atmosphere...
Cafe Con Leche with a plain croissant . I didn't become the mayor because it sucks. Their coffee is perfection.
Get a xuixo - the best pastry I have ever tried!
Try the cheesecake with fig ! Yums!
Crema Catalana with waffle siddetle tavsiye????????
Tiramisu was perfect!!
There are some tables outside in a lane. It is quite though 20 metres from Rambla.
Free wifi : Escriba AP01 / Escriba1906
Come for their crema catalana
The hot chocolate (or shall we call it 'melted chocolate ') is deadly!
Very tasteful and original
The Crema Catalan
I fell in love with the cremadet
Use the Wifi !
Tasty macaroons
The Cheesecake is heavenly... Best ever
Not bad pastries at best, the hype is probably about it's history and location.
Breakfast at a local and one of my favourites... Pure Spain, Cortado, bocadillo de hamon and tortilla and a madalena to top it all off... - S P
Very unique mochi (slightly bigger than typical, with more filling), delicious and super fresh. - Nico Pitney
At markets across the city, families are preparing for the Castanyada - a Catalan tradition held on All Saints Day. The highlight is a meal of roasted chestnuts, sweet potatoes, fruits and cakes! - Oh-Barcelona.com
Awesome place to meet up, have tapas, drinks and do souvenir shopping! - Candice Simone
