It took me 5 hours to get a drivers license here (moved from Ohio), so if you can wait a month and schedule an appointment it will save you from wasting a whole day.

Make sure you get here early on Saturdays. People start waiting as early as 7am.

License and ID location only! For plate/tag registration items (including handicap placards) you need to go to the Atlantic Ave location below Six Forks.

All I can say is call ahead and make an appointment .
