Norwegian folklore tells of a troll that lives in caves near waterfalls called a Fossegrimen. It chooses people to give the gift of music & visits them in their sleep twisting their fingers at night.
Groundwater within the rocky caverns of the hills streams out of a cave at the top creating this enchanting waterfall . There's a boardwalk trail to the top, but the more daring can hike the falls.
The Spring area was about 10 degrees cooler and there was a fresh breeze that was just always in the area.
a BEAUTIFUL spot for wedding pictures!
The waterfall is nice. They have stairs on the lefthand side.
Don't just walk up the wooden path, also walk up the dirt walkway to the right.

Great clean campground. Ice and firewood available at the office until 8pm. Trout steam and the Upper Iowa River offer plenty to do. One of my favorite campgrounds in Iowa - Tony Bibbs
