The Birmingham Botanical Gardens & Glasshouses, situated in Edgbaston, Birmingham, UK, are a 15 acre oasis of delight. Designed by J. C. Loudon, a leading garden planner, horticultural journalist and publisher, they opened to subscribers in 1832.

Open every day apart from Christmas day, the gardens were designed in 1829 by Scottish botanist J. C. Loudon. The gardens also house a small collection of exotic birds from across the world.
Historical and delightful with four glasshouses, a large lawn with a range of beds and shrubberies and landscape greenery . Its £7.50 for a adult which you pick a time slot. worth a visit.
When magical lanterns or dinosaurs or Ice Age creatures visit I go to the Botanical Gardens ! Loads of people about. Dates to the late 19th century. Located in Edgbaston. 23 and 24 bus routes.

The garden is lovely and very big. There are many kind of plants and flowers, also in the greenhouses. Don't forget to take the small path that leads to the small reservoir behind the garden! - Simon
