Named for Joseph Gurney Cannon (R-IL) Speaker of the House (1903-1911), the second longest continuously serving Republican Speaker in history, surpassed by Dennis Hastert in 2006.

Note: during recess and other slow times, only 2 entrances (SW, NE) are open. It's a pain in the ass!
