Mala broth too spicy for me but the black bone chicken broth was amazing and restorative. Get two broths and make one meat one veggie if you are with veg friends. This place will be perfect in winter!
Black Chicken & Herbal are 2 tasty broths. If you enjoy a spicier broth, go with Mala broth . 2 classic veg to add-on are Lotus roots & Tung Ho. The Mushroom platter is also a delightful selection.
I love the veg lo mein and veg fried rice and also the spring rolls .
The black bon chicken broth is amazing. Super flavorful and satisfying.
Try the Hot Pot - Black Chicken broth with an assortment of vegetables and seafood . Very tasty stuff.
Get a yin/yang combo broth of black bone chicken and spicy mala for the best of both worlds.
Good hot pot for cold days.
The herbal broth is deeply satisfying.
The broth are delicious! Try them all. Hot pot noodles are essential to the experience too.
Make sure you order tong-ho! Its the most flavorful vegetable !
The herbal broth is amazing, but the spicy broth is VERY spicy ...
Mala broth . Spicy goodness.
Don't bother. Everything costs extra. I don't like peanut sauce and I had I pay extra for soy sauce , BBQ sauce , garlic , etc. shabu zen or Q in Chinatown is better. Small portions too and expensive
Nothing terribly fancy here, but their spicy Mala broth is something special.
Mala broth , yum!
Found a bug in my broth and the server/manager did absolutely nothing about it, except leave said bug in broth in front of me for the remainder of our meal. Boo! Shabu Zen is the place to go!
Healthy and yummy
The quality of the food was so disappointing! I rather spend the money at shabu-zen!
Excellent maki combinations and friendly staff. Live jazz on Saturday nights. - Sue E.
BBQ Seitan is a must! Also, sweet and sour soy protein. Miso soup with your entree. - Liz D.
One scoop is probably enough for most. Pick your flavor (can't go wrong with PB Cup, in my opinion) and get it in a waffle cone. - Jake Smith
