Swimming hole is amazing and the trees are massive. Skin feels molto bene after exfoliating with the sand because of the rocks. They're minerals Marie!
Hike the trails (~2 hrs for everything) and take in the scenery/wildlife. You *can* go swimming but please heed the posted warnings / conditions.
Dreamtime tour with Harold (local with 17yrs experience) is worth doing. Find out how indigenous people lived in the rainforest , take a dip in the gorge.
Swimming in Mossman Gorge is an incredible experience. It's freezing, but you can warm up by sunbaking on a huge rock.

Have to pay for shuttle bus to access Mossman Gorge. Adult ticket $8.50, Free for children under 4 years old.
Fantastic 1hr walk loops back and ends in a clear cool river pool for a well earned dip .
Notice to discourage visitors from walking
If walking in the wet, keep an eye on your arms and legs for leeches... Scrape them off with a twig or leaf.
Go swimming in the gorge-it's very refreshing!
