A challenging and beautiful trail along the Potomac River in Northern Virginia. Glebe Rd/Pimmit Run to Roosevelt Island is pretty gentle. The roughest part is Mile 2 - Turkey Run to Mile 4.5 - Gulf Br
One of the best running trails in dc and VA. When you're running along the water, take off your headphones and listen to the water lapping the shore. It's so placid.
Great for running or biking . The trail is busy on the weekends, but everyone is friendly .
Another very long point to point that I personally don't love. Too many highways and houses during various stretches. Turn around and go back to TRI.
This narrow trail begins at Roosevelt Island and is a great run.
Beautiful drive. Go when the Marines are running. Ooh rah!
Get out and hike . Moderately challenging with beautiful views .
The trail in Maryland by Glen Echo is relatively tame but beautiful. - Maggie MacG
This is a good short loop for hikers of all skill levels (1.5 miles) and shaded so good even for summer hikes. - Maggie MacG
