I have been going to this restaurant since I was a small boy, so that's about 51 years and I must say I love it every time I go. The food, atmosphere the courteous staff make it all enjoyable.
We ate there off season. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is plenty of seating facing the water. Would be beautiful during the summer.
Tony's has the best hushpuppies ! Been coming here for years. A wonderful place to eat and enjoy the waterfront . Check out the new bar !
My favorite go to restaurant when I'm here. Love the Flounder Del Ray (flounder stuffed with crab meat ) and hushpuppies .
Popular with tourists and when there is a line , it moves quickly. Worth any wait. Its right over the water front and boaters can tie up outside. Open from Feb to Nov.
The fish was fresh, and as everyone else said the hushpuppies were good. Overall I would recommend
Seafood , authentic down East NC dialect, sound view , family atmosphere , OYSTERS!
Good fish and great scenery while you eat
Try the seared tuna salad , it's light, tasty, and filling.
come here every time we visit the area!
Great food and the blackened tuna is awesome!
Great place to sit by the water & grab drinks.
Great seafood & hush puppies ! Nice view of the harbor . Good service .
Seafood , view and relaxing place to go.
Sabrina is a fantastic server. Sit in her section. We were lucky to get her 2 days in a row.
Would you like some hushpupies with your butter? So good...
She-Crab soup . Get it. Then thank yourself for making a superb decision.
Tradition! MHC Seafood ! Hush puppies , fried shrimp and sweet tea !
HUSHPUPPIES
History and tradition is really what this place has going for it. It's been here forever. The food is ok and VERY over priced. Wait is far too long. Great for large groups
Awesome service in winter.
It's great to tie up to the dock and get a bite to eat
For lunch you can't beat the shrimp & crab stuffed potato with two sides for 8.95!!
Everything I ate was good.
She-crab soup was great as was the scallops linguini ! But they were out of oysters ;(
HUGE portion of yummy trout !
Sanitary is great! Great food.
It was great as always. I had Shrimp and Grits .
Thank you so much for the great food!
Excellent Service ! Great
Next door had an hour wait, plenty of room here. No nonsense food. Drink refills too!
This place had pretty good seafood , but don't get the fried blue crab sandwich - it's all bun , no crab ... and not worth the $12.
Wonderful food! It was an honor to meet John Turner himself!
Amazing food!
Ask for Millard as your waiter !!! He's da bomb
Favorite place for fresh seafood & wonderful hushpuppies . Right on the waterfront with a dock for boats & limited outside seating ! Check out DeeGee's bookstore across the street after your meal.
If you see bluefish on the menu, don't hesitate to get it.
Broiled combo plate. Pure win.
They do *not* allow dogs, even outside!
When these people say 5 minutes it really means forever & there are at least 6 empty tables. Management should all be fired for this outrage.
Crab and corn chowder
Great Seafood , local.
Ask to sit in Ross's section. We had a blast!
Ask to sit in Ruth's section
Best seafood I have ever eaten!!!
The Sanitary will be closed for the season until February 3rd, 2012.
Surprised no one has mentioned the hush puppies
Dinner is the pits. Fish cooked wrong, dry outside, raw center. Frozen off truck , not fresh catches off local boats... Servers are rude to boot.
Ask to sit in Gale's section
The food was ok
Shrimp & Grits to die for, servings are incredible. Service is wonderful!! - Jeff Bradley
shrimpburger all the way with onion rings and hush puppies (enough to share) - MM
Great shop.....make sure you go upstairs for kids stuff and sale items:) - Kellie Dickerson
