Just tried the nasi goreng ayam penyet @ warong penyet super , the chicken crispy 9/10 the fried rice 8/10 the sambal for the ayam penyet 7.5/10. Overall its ok but still cant beat the best..

Soya Milk . In a shootout between A) Lian Yin #01-148, B) Soya Bean & Jelly Drink #01-136, and C) Whampoa Soya Bean #01-167, A was the thickest & more fragrant drink, followed by C

Chai tow kway (fried carrot cake ): Bee Kee #01-144 serves like Chey Sua @ Toa Payoh. They pour egg mix onto pre-fried cubes, & thoroughly mixes the lot. What u get is omelette fragrance w every bite!

Wantan mee . Old-school feel from Hoe Soon #01-158. Their larger serving $3.50 comes with 4 wantans (instead of 3), a lot more char siew slices, extra noodles . Could do w more vege ????

Chicken rice . The 'white' (boiled) chicken meat fr Ji De Lai #01-152 could do with more bite. Possible overcooked. Ask them to go easy on overpowering sauce poured over meat. Rice is fragrant

Fishball noodles . Shootout between Xiang Xiang 01-177 & neighbour Lu Xiang Ji 01-179, and Xiang Xiang emerged the winner with honest flavourful fishballs. Long wait though

记得吃 chicken rice , kuey chap , Boneless duck rice and xiang xiang fishball noodles is d few stores which I definitely eat from whenever I visit d hawker centre .

Lots of good, comfort food here. eg try the fishball noodles (3rd stall ) at the back row facing the toilets . The night satay beside it and the roast duck in the middle row are must-tries too.

Look out for this stall - Fish Soup ... Not as good as Piao Ji at Amoy Street but what caught my eye was the fish roe ????

Soya drink: Found the stall fellow 4SQ users r talking abt. Lian Yin #01-148. U can't miss it; there's a queue ;-) My drink was smooth & fragrant

Kaya toast breakfast $2.90. Unimpressed with set from Kuai Le #01-156. They use factory bread . Margarine (not butter) & kaya were spread thin

Going on vegetarian food ?!? Here's a stall that sell vegetarian mixed-veg rice . I ordered three dishes and it's only $2.50...

Nice Ayam Penyet by Waroeng Penyet, power satay & mi soto at Haji Ali Cooked Food & Lastly Rainbow Dessert that serve nice & affordable dessert !

Don't ever try this stall dessert !! Especially the "tang yuan" with peanut paste taste sour!!I told aunty it's something wrong with the taste n she replace me ginger paste using the same bowl.

Chong Pang Chwee Kueh used to be very nice but they are getting more and more oilier. Those unfriendly aunties simply pour oil onto the chwee kueh. No longer buying from them nowadays.

Bee Kee Cooked Food the white chai tau kueh and the Guan Heng Cooked Food the black chai tau kueh are both nice!!! Both are near the soybean stall !

Pow Huat #01-127 does very brisk biz in the morning. Their paus & dimsum items r popular

The sliced fish porridge and chwee kueh here are the best! Especially the chwee kueh, must order loads of it!

Awesome youzharkuay and soyabean with just the right amt of sugar and soyabean. Xiangxiang yuyuan mee has one of the springiness fishball around. Simple and delicious.

Absolute love for the NEE SOON MEE HOON KUEH stall . ❤️ the ban mian is awez.

The ever friendly lady boss of Kuai Le Coffeeshop is fast, polite, courteous... And not to mention their aromatic brew of kopi!
