My friend & I did family style with a restaurant week special + the charcuterie plate . If you love an experiential charcuterie , get one here - it was delicious and the sauces were also fabulous.

Tim Wiechmann 's German restaurant is much more than a brats and beer haus (though do yourself a favor and order both when you go), and a great addition to Somerville's restaurant-heavy Union Square.

Get a group together and share a mix of the wurst , it's the best. And don't forget to get a Giant Haus Bretzel for the table.

Delicious food and beer in a cool atmosphere. The potato salad ? Very delicious. CHUNKS of bacon in the potato salad .

Great selection of German beer and German-style local craft beer . Soft pretzel , er "bretzel," appetizer is awesome. As is the spaetzel . Oh, and get the doughnuts for dessert . Yeah.

The atmosphere was incredible as was the beer list . I ordered the vegan plate which was fantastic and had a lot of variety. Of course the carnivore options looked excellent as well

The Cotechino alone is worth the visit and the Reibekuchen is just plain awesome. I am bummed the Schweinhaxe is only served during the summer. Good bier selections, too. 

For apps, the pretzel is an obvious choice (tread carefully with the mustard , it packs a punch), but the pierogies are a pleasantly delicious surprise if you're looking for another small plate .

Carefully executed German classics and an all-around great bar program from beer to cocktails . Love this place.

The giant pretzel and amazing German beer selection are not he missed. Also, the Wagyu beef sauerbraten is pretty darn good :-)

get the Knödel (bacon bread dumpling , fiddlehead purée), Blutnudeln (Trentino blood pasta , spring onion , citrus ), and Kaiserschmarrn (the Kaiser's pancake )

They carry a great vegan appetizer (cabbage salad ) and vegan entree for the vegetarians and vegans ! Super friendly service too!

Entrees were meh, but get a pretzel , use the mustard , get the potato salad , and pop back a beer . Great date right there.

Even though the restaurant focuses on meat, there are a good number of vegetarian small plates . The beer soup is delicious.

Step 1: Order a Haus Liter... it will make you look impressive. Step 2: Order a pretzel , it will help you breathe. Step 3: Don't bother trying to save room for dessert .

With the sad closure of Jacob Worth in Boston’s theater District, this is one of the few Bavarian style restaurants in Boston. Do not bother. Heavy greasy food!

Go as a group so you can share Spatezel and the Grand Wurst platter . All the sausage is made in house and tastes wonderful.

Start with the pretzel . Then get the haxe. Everything else is up to you but those two are required eating.

This is the worst German food you could imagine. Maybe if you did not try real German food , you think those "funny" dishes they serve is German. It does not deserve a try. Beer and interior are good.

Rest and drunk all of the things, and when you're full ask for underberg

Beer is good but ambiance could be better. They didn't even have German music on the background. A bit disappointing.
