The boardwalk is constructed using timber from Casuarina trees which fell during a storm in July 2014.
NParks has dictated that bicycles are not to be ridden on the boardwalk. "DISMOUNT AND PUSH"

If the stone block sections of the trail flood during wet weather, they are supposed to. It’s intentionally designed that way. - gerard t
It’s not submerged - just lower than any other walkway. Spacious walkway which sometimes, if lucky, you’ll be able to see monkeys leaping from side to side of this walkway. - Elise ❥
