Gulangyu Island

A must place to visit when you in Xiamen, you also can stay at island , they have 4 hotels here

Very nice island , a musty to see place when you in Xiamen, keep attention, during high season people are limited to visit the island , so be there on time to get a chance for a visit

Expensive food and drinks.Many small special shops in the island just like Taiwan.you can get half price to visit everything in the island if you are a student. Rmb8 return ticket by ferry .

Super busy place, get ready to fight your way through the masses! But the surroundings and old houses are worth a look!

The place is amazing as soon as you dare trying to get lost in it. Forget the guide , GPS, avoid everything around the pier as most of the shops are Taiwanese Tourist Traps (T.T.T).

This island is gorgeous, it is a very nice place to visit.

Place was a dive. Usual junk vendors on the streets, rubbish all over the place, people fighting. Lovely!

Scenic view , historical places

Touristy . I prefer a quiet spot . To ponder, perchance to dream.

Try Yuanxiangkou's Fish balls & springrolls. Yummy!

Pay 10-20yuan for a guide who'll walk with you and tell u the history from a local's perspective.

If you're traveling by air, don't bother to buy the Magic Matchboxes, there's no way to carry them on air. liars!

Quite a letdown to me. Crowded , expensive and nothing much to see. Historical values eroded by extreme capitalism.

Need nearly 3 hours to walk around the island

It's a tourist spot. Dun shop here. The guide may be cheap but u won't see the whole island n they bring u to expensive places, that's where they get commission. That's y it's cheap .

Don't bother coming here. It's under development, and nothing special really! Not exactly a cheap place to eat anything really.

物价真的很贵。不值得逗留。 The Goods here are expensive. It not necessary to stay here at night.

比厦门东西贵，来的话尽量在厦门买，商业化不要太过分，不然要吓跑游客
