Green Lake Park

Such a beautiful park , be it rain or shine. Come here to run with your dog, or on your own, or for a date, or a bike ride , or a nice walk by the lake sipping on your latte . And people are so friendly .

ALL foot traffic please keep to the inside lane. If you MUST jog or walk in the wheels lane , at least go the opposite direction (clockwise) so you can see oncoming traffic and GTFO of the way.

I'll be honest, the park is so nice and beautiful. This is a greate park for swimming , boating, and a beautiful walk area. I definitely checked it out! Highly recommended.

One of the reasons I love Seattle is this park . Go for a 5k loop run out kayak in the lake . They have great running groups that meetup almost everyday here. Check it out on meetup.com.

Enjoy this great little getaway in the heart of Seattle. There may be lots of people there so be nice enjoy the vibe. Not everyone is going to do it perfect and that’s just perfect

Super busy on the weekends and for good reason, it is a great park . I have run the trail around this lake so many times I could do it with my eyes closed.

Please follow the rules, and keep all walking, jogging, dogs and strollers on the side of the path nearest the lake ! Crossing over to the wrong "lane" is a hazard to you, your dog , and your baby.

Good spot for jogging. Usually filled with other super-healthy runners ... Pretty busy even on a Saturday morning ... although I have managed to find parking , except for when they have rowing events

This artificial lake is home to a variety of geese, ducks & other wildlife . 1 lap around the lake is just 2.8 miles, & you can rent in-line skates or beach cruisers at nearby Gregg's Greenlake Cycle.

The water cleanliness, women running around in yoga pants with a passion to out breed the impending alien invasion, seriously though, California dimes lol, where you you at Sue Bird uffff.

Take your time walking around the lake . It is beautiful, especially in the summer.

Be sure that your feet are broken into whatever sandals you own because you will get blisters from the lap around the lake . Otherwise enjoy the view and the sun.

WHOLE LOTTA NOSTALGIA: According to local legend, Led Zepplin once opened for Herman's Hermits on a platform at the SW corner of Green Lake back in the 60s.

Run around the lake on a weekend morning to get some energy from the masses. Great 3 mile loop!

A Seattle gem, especially in good weather. Fun to walk around with multiple good dining options.

Playing on the monkey bar 's. All water activities are fun. Great family environment . ..

Inner path around the lake is about 2.79 miles. Beautiful place to jog whether it's sunny or cloudy, but expect sunny weekend days to be quite busy with lots and kids and animals on the trail .

Amazing! So many dogs and runners . had an awesome time but know that the kids playground is crowded

Scenic sunset . There are basketball courts , baseball diamonds , soccer fields , and tennis courts in the vicinity.

Wondering why ppl doesn’t read god damned sights, there is the lines for bikes rollers, and other one for a walkers....

Some of the best dog watching in the city . So many people bring their dogs to walk here.

So many things to do around Green Lake , it's hard to fit. Exercise on the 2.8 mi. track around the lake , go to a stage play at Seattle Public Theater at the Bathhouse, go to dinner at all the restaura

Please keep your children out of the faster wheels lane , including strollers. The ammount of people I see eat it because we really don't want to hurt your kiddos is unbelievable (and painful!) xoxo

Use good manners on the busy 2.8mile loop - it gets crowded in nice weather and everyone wants to enjoy it.

On October 1, 2011, Green Lake Park played host to one of our Out of the Darkness Community Walks to raise money for vital research, education and outreach programs for suicide prevention.

annoying when the history channel leaves a tip that is wrong.Greenlake is not manmade- it was mapped on the first maps of Seattle, and Greggs stopped renting rollerblades more than 5 years ago.

Real runners take the outside loop to avoid families in a row or not-so-smooth rollerbladers who tend to weave in and out

Excellent running loop. Can get really crowded . Just mind your p's and q's.
