Great food and service! Really fast, with a classy atmosphere . Will be back :) The valet service they use is sketchy- there are no times posted, so they'll just lock up and strand you without a car
"Heaping plates of tangy , slippery shrimp have drawn legions of locals to this no-frills, family-run spot since 1977. Make a reservation and take a friend (or five), portions are gigantic."
Everything. Just everything. We got the pan fried dumplings , sechuan beef , and chicken fried rice and was blown away. Paired with an Excellent staff , this place is unexpectedly phenomenal.
Slippery Shrimp and Szechuan Chicken were the two dishes I had. Quite tasty and worth the wait as the portions are quite large. Well priced bottles of wine available also.
Chinatown restaurant opened in 1977 serving Mandarin & Szechwan style cuisine. Started by a family of 5 brothers. Small, basic, unremarkable dining room.
Slippery Shrimp , Kung Pao Chicken , Shredded Beef with Spicy Garlic Sauce , Sweet and Sour Pork , Pan Fried Noodles with Chicken , all good eating, can't go wrong at all.
Had the most reviews on google. Apparently celebrities came here too. Had the beef with broccoli and spicy fish fillet with garlic + vege . IMO food were oily and salty, food were in big chunks.
Good place, friendly people and nice atmosphere. I had the orange chicken which came with some delicious steamed vegetables but sadly the chicken was a bit mushy.
Food was all excellent! Crispy duck & sweet & sour chicken were great, slippery shrimp highly recommended.
Great food in a great location. Free valet parking with validation. Cheap date night . 2 can eat for around 40 bucks!
The Slippery Shrimp is worth all the hype! AWESOME! That is all that is left of our plate of Slippery Shrimp !
There's a reason almost everyone recommends Slippery Shrimp . Try it and you will understand. Try the spicy chili oil , too.
Taste was delicious. Food was very tasty. I would prefer pickup radder than eating in restaurant . Well recommended!
Great string beans and fried rice . I was not a fan of the protein or egg rolls .
Cheap , and delicious. Beef and Broccoli is good. Slippery shrimp . Egg fu yung, (don't think I spelled that correctly.)
Order the slippery shrimp , pan fried dumplins, shrimp fried rice , pork green beans , kung pao chicken , mushoo chicken , and three musketeers lo mein...can't go wrong :)
It's already been said but I'll say it again. Slippery shrimp . Great service and funny manager with a love for LA and their sports teams. Showtimeeee!
Slippery shrimp is beyond good. I ordered it not expecting the orgasm my tastebuds would encounter. Get it!
Food is great. Parking is hell! As the reviews say try the slippery shrimp !
Make sure to get slippery shrimp this is the original the one in Pasadena doesn't taste the same. Celebrities come here too! :)
For the price and quality, I will go to next door (Sam Woo), or Phoenix instead. In terms of flavor, it's definitely more American Chinese than authentic Chinese.
The service here was some of the best I've ever experienced at a Chinese restaurant before.
Slippery shrimp is awesome!! Best Chinese food I have had In a long time. Worth the drive!!!
Slippery shrimp was bomb diggity! Loved the schezwan chicken as well ! Portions are huge so I recommend sharing.

Totally packed and a line to get in. Food was ok. Service fast. But seemed like an average Chinese neighborhood restaurant .
Forget the slippery shrimp . Get the double cooked hot pork . Sooo good!
Szechuan Chicken . Definitely opt for the Slippery Shrimp over this. Not bad, but not great. Had a burnt sweet taste .
Slippery Shrimp is just ok. The taste is right, the shrimp is tender but small and flour too much. Their beef fried rice is awesome. Beef is so tender. Just a little salty.
