Great food and beer , but as they brew their own beers right behind the bar , the place smells pretty funky. It gets louuud as its constantly being overrun by big groups of tourists on walking tours :-/
My favourite is the Three Sheets pale ale , but all their beers are awesome!
Had some very nice beer , I mean really nice. The Peking poppi is a particular memory. The pub was crazy busy though. Friday after work on a lovely summer day so no surprise 😁
Brew their own beers - yummy!!! Meals arent huge at lunch . Clean loos. Check out the antique bootles and general surrounds. A number of pub crawl types rock in- loud snd annoying; but dont stay long
Great beers , decent food and an amazing cheeseboard. The fire in winter is extra special, but anytime of year this place is worth a visit.
Proper pub this. Excellent beer . Real pints. Superb atmosphere and what I hope is an excellent Curry house 50 feet away. Lovely
Decent selection of beers brewed on the premises and they do paddles. I rated the Victory bitter, as was a bit nostalgic for Brit beers :)
I had the incredible Ploughman's Platter and a few pints of the Three Sheets pale ale . Highly recommend!
Awesome pub , such a lovely feel about it. Pies were awesome. I don't like craft beers but my mate rated them. Good service .
I get big UK country pub vibes from here and the beer is also really good. Really friendly staff too!
3 Sheets may have been the best beer I've ever tasted... and Nelson's Blood is also delicious!
Great for Sunday afternoon catch ups close to the harbour and the beer range is fantastic..
Great beer , fantastic chicken curry , and cute bartenders . Seemed mostly locals and some tourists . A must stop!!
Try the Conservas Ortiz Anchovies followed by the Cloudy Bay Clams in xo as a main. An experience in taste well worth experiencing.
This is a good solid proper pub ... you know, with a solid Oak bar and serving Ales in pint and half pint measures. Try a pint of Three Sheets . Great for English who miss proper pubs and proper beer .
3 Sheets Pale Ale is the best and most popular beer here
Pie and mash is great here, and the beer !
Oldest brewery in Sydney! Love the atmosphere, service and tasty beers ! Cheers mate!
Good vibes. Old flavour interior. Delicious beers on tap but avoid the cheese plate .
The pub with the longest continuous license in Australia (not the oldest). Open fire , brewery in the back, Sunday roasts and a ploughman's lunch - a taste of old Sydney
Nice place, beer 's pretty good - try the Victory Bitter!
Great ales , great location, great pub . Take your time and sample as many as you can...
If you enjoy a great brew this is the spot to go, lots of choices
Great beer , food and wine . Still one of the best pubs in Sydney.
Good for beers . Our steak sandwiches weren't that good but we're the potato wedges .
Perhaps notable as a local institution, but there’s certainly better beer to be had elsewhere
Very good beer ! Around $9
Lovely place with great beer/cider. Reasonably price too
Great beers , like the English Pale Ale
Great looking girls behind the bar , if you're into that sort of thing. Some very friendly . Some not.
Oldest pub in Sydney. Three Sheets Pale Ale is my favorite.
Jolly good boozer. Quayle Ale is a nice easy session ale and Three Sheets is good too.
the beef pie with mash & gravy is superb top it with a Three sheets pint & your feel happy :)
The beers here are amazing in this historic pub . Try one of each and then tap 'DONE' if you can still spell Riesling ?
Great variety of beers brewed on site
Great craft beer !
Excellent beers in the Rocks since 1986!
Best beer on tap on Sydney! No secret why it's the oldest pub here. Try the Lord Nelson on tap
The three sheets pale ale is quite tasty. Give it a go.
Good selection of beers brewed in house.
Grab a Quayle Ale and sit by the fire. Nothing better on a cold winter day.
Two words. Nelson's Blood. Get it while you can, it runs out pretty quick.
Loved drinking beers at this old pub - not too touristy , despite the history. My pick: Try a "3 Sheets " pale ale .
great atmosphere and beers brewed onsite :)
Good range of local brews down in the rocks.
Right up there with The Lord Nelson at Penshurst for atmosphere!
Beer and 19th century throwback atmosphere
Probably the best place in Sydney to sample beers brewed onsite. Clear an afternoon and don't drive.
Sit round the back of the bar and you can see them brewing the beer !
Excellent craft beer 🍻
Thurs - Sat they have a new and awesome outdoor kitchen. Get in quick the food is often limited and gone by dinner time. - Elliot Chance
A unique experience. Not what you expect when walking down the alleyway. But a great venue, great to drink nice craft beer and sit next to the workings of the brewery. Staff were really friendly. - Rob Thomas
nice pizza. cosy and popular venue with some tasty beers on tap - Michael
The oldest pub in Sydney. Nice spot with open fire place in winter, Guiness beer & Jameson whiskey and friendly people. - Andreas K
Duck pizza, kangaroo pizza, crocodile pizza and one of the biggest selections of beers in Sydney :) - Simon Heyes
Definitely should try the sweet potato fries and pizza! Loved the food and ambience. - Khai Yi Khor
