The apps.!. All of them. Fav is ....Brussel sprouts ,beef tenderloin bites and habenero shrimp ! Deviled eggs and pate are a must try as well . Bar is loud and small but the great food out weighs that.
My favorite steak place in the Seattle area. Always exceptional steaks , sides and service. Sire it is pricey but well worth the indulgence. The tempura bacon appetizer is the epitome of decadence
Get their Charcuterie plate ! Sooooo good. Ask for more crostini as 4 little pieces won't be enough. Cheers!
The service is superb. The steak is melt in your mouth. The twice baked Potato and Yukon pureed is my kids fave side Mushrooms and asparagus are the adult favorite . Spendy but for special occasion
Awesome Beef , try the Cuba libre , which is a great signature drink .
The creamy salmon soup , steak salad , tenderloins bites , volcano lava cake and the French press Indonesian coffee , delicious!!
Spendy. The steaks start somewhere around $60. But excellent. 3 grades of Wagyu beef . Excellent wine list . Friendly and very knowledgeable staff . One of the best in Bellevue.
This chef-driven steakhouse combines strong execution with a sense of fun (see: bacon tempura ). Staff are well versed in wine ; the 750-wine list focuses on big West Coast names, with rare verticals.
Whatever you do, don't pass up the amazing Tempura Fried Kurobuta Bacon appetizer , served with maple sambal ponzu sauce . It's absolutely incredible!
Great service! Awesome food. Unlike many of the reviews I read, the portions were bigger than I had expected. I truely felt like a princess on my birthday! Much recommended!
They usually have some great high end reds by the glass on the Enomatic system. If you're a regular diner there, and a wine lover, be sure and check out their options for getting a wine storage locker
Really great meal all around. Impeccable service, every dish and every drink was delicious.
Best steakhouse ever. Worth the splurge for a special occasion . All about the Kobe sampler and loaded baked potato . And gluten free chocolate lava cake ????
Yellow tomato soup , still excellent. Make sure to tell them how much time you have or else they'll make you wait 45+ minutes and you'll be too frustrated to enjoy the soup . Happened to me
Excellent happy hour menu , very knowledgeable staff . Small sides can typically feed two so plan on sharing. Tenderloin bites are a safe and delicious appetizer .
Chef John Howie's new spot is a mammoth chophouse made classy with a translucent stone-topped bar , a low hallway lined with booths and a vaulted dining room with a wall of woven bamboo Read more
Tenderloin bites , Combo steaks were amazing. I've never had food this good.. I almost cried.
Best steak in town - Period. Very well curated wine list . Attentative, well educated and nice staff .
Happy hour at JohnHowieSteak is amazing! 3-6pm & 9-12am $2 Bud & Bud Light ; $3 John Howie Amber Ale , $9 prime tenderloin bites ; $6 BLT slidershttp://www.johnhowiesteak.com/index.php/Food/
Oh man, Had my John Howie Steak and finished the evening with my girl getting a massage at North Bay Spa in Renton. Perfect Thursday evening.
They serve up some GREAT Kobe beef BUT the best thing about them is their Happy Hour since it's a VERY pricey restaurant . HH is definitely worth checking out - very trendy and quality food for sure!
So far best happy hour in town . Show up early just before happy hour to get a spot!
Go for happy hour & get the deviled eggs ! Yum
Go with the aged Ribeye . It is a thing of beauty.
Try the prime rib , it is by far the best I've ever had. Flavor is of epic proportions.
One of the best Sirloin steaks I've had in years. Creme brulee was excellent.
The bacon cheeseburger they serve during happy hour is incredibly good at a very reasonable price.
4 oz steak is the way to go. Anything above that is gonna give you post holiday overly stuffed feeling
Ask for Matt at the bar and tell him which spirit you prefer. He'll come up with something fantastic.
The yellow tomato soup is very good. Can't eat that anywhere else
The porterhouse is delicious. Service is excellent. Expect to spend a pretty penny.
Happy hour is amazing! Must try the deep fried bacon and fried brussel sprouts !
The artichoke hearts two ways is GREAT! Pairs well with the happy hour sauvignon blanc !
Late night happy hour here is amazing! $8 burger and fries or $8 kobe beef sliders . They have all sorts of ridiculous alcohol available too - try their Germain Swizzle.
I dream of their twice-baked potato . Yes, the steaks are delicious, but that twice-baked potato...<drool>...
The Gnocchi and garlic flat bread are the best. Other star contenders are the Bacon Burger and Bacon strips .
Wow! This place is awesome. Great food, drinks and service.
Soup / salad combo is great and a great price for a weekday lunch ! Also have soup / sandwich or salad/sandwich combos.
The American wagyu beef NY Strip . And asparagus . Very very good.
Finish with the bread pudding for dessert . The whiskey ice cream is fantastic.
It's all about their hamburger and brussel sprouts , oh, and the tempura fried bacon .
Go for the Tempura Bacon . It's on the bar menu but not the Dinner menu (don't know about lunch ) but ask for it if you are in the dining room. WELL WORTH IT!
Go during happy hour . Get the burger . Thank me later.
Great restaurant and a super happy hour . Tenderloin beef appetizer is amazing. Wedge salad and corn side with the steak are delicious!
Don't leave John Howies without ordering their Banana Fosters ! It's the BEST! The greatest ending to every dinner !
It was very good. Now they charge you bread . I think for a restaurant with this prices it should be free.
Impeccable service, expansive wine list , great food. The Wagyu steak (throw on a pinch of charcoal-salt) and the Bananas Foster are to die for!
the habanero shrimp is incredible! and spicy ! a very healthy portion ad well . you may want to ask for more bread to sop up the incredible sauce.
House cheeseburger is solid choice for lunch !
Chateaubriand was to die for. Fresh made sauce prepared tableside.
