Love their ever changing exhibitions . There's so much for kids to do. As well as adults who used to be kids.
Check out Fermentational Informational. Once a month they have a night of 21+ which includes 10 beer samples from local breweries while big kids get to play in the museum without those annoying kids!
Friendly , knowledgeable staff . A variety of exhibits , though they haven't changed in a while they're working on it. They get amazing visiting exhibits like King Tut , Titanic and Pompeii.
Go and check out the pirate exhibit while it's still here! There was an incredible variety of interesting things to look at- my family and I loved it!

The quackery exhibit is very cool as well as the Sportsology.
There is a 60 foot astronaut suit that project a video of you face on the faceplate. Pretty cool!
Voted the Best Museum by City Pages in 2011! It's known for bringing in big exhibits , like King Tut and the Dead Sea Scrolls , but the regular galleries and experimental rooms are not to be missed!
After catching a movie at the Omni Theater , the exit takes you past the projector setup, so you can see how it works.
To save money and share the experience, buy one audio tour for the touring special exhibits . Take turns listening and sharing what you learn as you walk through the exhibit .
Do try the Napolitano astronaut ice cream at the gift store . Worth the money and the experience

The Maya exhibit is pretty cool. You can skip the IMAX movie , though.

Visit the cell lab with kids 8 - 14 they can do some neat experiments! (each takes ~20 min). Cool!
Excellent food on the restaurant on level 6. Fresh and tasty.
Great museum field with a variety of things for all ages. Try parking a few blocks away so you can avoid the expensive parking ramp
If you visit the Dead Sea scrolls exhibit on a Tuesday between 1-3, the Dir. of the Saint Johns Bible is on hand to talk about the SJB. He'll be in the SJB exhibition area.
Bring your student ID after 5pm on Fridays to save some money
Go on Friday evenings if you enjoy little to no crowds.
