If you don't have a reservation , you may get turned away at the door. Luckily, we were able to get a table & it was worth it. Dorowot & Yebere Siga Tibs were delicious. Beets & collard greens weren't.

It is the best Ethiopian food . Period. The curried chicken and the side dishes were real good. The service at this place was old school good. You could tell the cook and the wait staff care a lot.

Try Veggie combo with stewed lentil , sunflower seeds , and azifa, Dorowot with cardamom , black pepper , and berbere & Teff cookies with cinnamon

If you've never had Ethiopian food before, it is definitely a must-try. Of course the dorowat is amazing (not too spicy ), and the lentil and salad sides are full of flavor!

Looked at in isolation, Genet Agonafer's cooking may be as wild as that of her funkier Little Ethiopia neighbors, but the final impression is of a genteel, old-fashioned bistro . Read more

Order the tofu tibs + veggie combo . Best shared between 2 people, a bit much for just 1 to polish off. Waiter suggested mixing my leftovers w eggs for a breakfast burrito , fantastic tip.

I'm told this is one of the rare Ethiopian restaurants that offers meat protein. Either way, it made a good intro for an Ethiopian food-virgin like myself.

Get the vegetarian combo as your meal base, plus another dish for every 1-2 people. The tofu tibs is amazing.
