Makes a nice little detour for cutting across the National Mall . Nice anytime of year, but Friday evenings in the summer you'll find Jazz in the Garden ! Grab some sangria and a patch of grass!
Nothing better than hanging out here on a nice summer Friday night and listening to jazz with a pitcher of sangria . Arrive early and bring a blanket to get a good spot, it fills up fast
Take a break from touring & sit on the smooth granite chairs near the Constitution Ave & 7th entrance. They're the only sculptures you can touch. Live music here @ 5pm every Friday during the summer.
Friday’s at 5:00 Pm you can sit down, have a couple of beers and sangrias , and listen to live music . Get there early cause the spaces run out fast!
The place was nice with a few sculptures that were really nice to take a photo and to understand what the author wanted to say

Jazz in the Garden is one of the now not so secret treasures of DC summertime. Be sure and get there early, secure a spot and saddle up to the sangria stand.

In the summer months every Friday evening there's the Jazz in the Garden concert series, featuring some of DC's top musical talents such as John Lee & The Young Lions. And its free! BYOB like Wolftrap
After the museums , come here to unwind and rest by the massive fountain , where you can dip your legs in to cool off!
Jazz in the Park on Fridays during the summer is a must. Get there early, and make sure to pack a blanket and snacks !

Friday nights from Memorial Day to Labor Day the garden hosts free jazz concerts starting at 5pm. If you can get there a little early, try for a spot on the fountain and dangle your feet. Read more
Come in the winter for ice-skating, and in summer to cool off by the fountain . The cafe here is pretty good too.

Park is a great stop on a hot summer day.
This is a nice area with plenty of shade. If you feel like cooling off from the summer heat, join the rest at the fountain , soaking.
A pleasant surprise to see a sculpture garden , it was small but enjoyed the different pieces on display.
Great place for ice skating Nov-March - tho lines can get long on wkend afternoons, the wait is worth it for a 2-hr skate , and they do rent ice skates and lockers for your shoes . Read more

This is a great place for a quiet lunch , especially if you work nearby. The fountain is nice, but there are plenty of benches .

Very calm space in the middle of a bustling city
Loving and hating this modern respite of traditional old Washington. I tend to prefer the traditional stone structures and thing.
This is my favorite atrium of all the museums in Washington.
Kick off your shoes and cool your feet in the fountain . Tons of shaded seating.

The actual Fountain Garden is located next to the African Art Museum within the Enid Haupt Garden. It's very peaceful and the fountains are mesmerizing. - Catherine

This was probably one of the best museums I've visited. It is for all ages and the admission is free! I can recommend going here especially if you are into planes, like me :) - Camilla
