Crystal Cove is essential Orange County . Some of the best views in the area, great food (check out Shake Shack!), lots of beautiful open space for walks. Love love love Crystal Cove . Parking is $15.
This is my favorite beach as a Newport native. Uncrowded, scenic views from the cliffs, the Beachcomber food is delicious, the tide pools are fun. Can't be beat.

They offer reasonably priced cottages along the beach . They fill up fast, so check online regularly. You may also luck out checking the day you plan to hang out to see if there are cancellations.
