Hand In Hand Beijing Restaurant 手拉手京华小馆 is a dumpling restaurant Little India Singapore located in Singapore.
141 Jalan Besar (Corner of Jln Besar & Hindoo Rd) 208859 Singapore
On a Saturday dinner time (7pm), 80 per cent of the diners were Japanese! A testament to the quality of the jiaozi/gyoza & rest of food, which were delicious!
Lots of creative plant-based dishes here. Flavourful, textured. We can taste the effort that went in. Even basic stir-fried cabbage was crunchy & aromatic!
The xiao long baos (soup dumplings ) are so big and juicy, better than Din Tai Fung. Also pig trotter galantine is yummy.
Tried many dishes, most pass especially the XLB. Generally the taste here is not too salty which is great. Only dish that I wouldn't recommend is the 口水鸡。
Xiao long bao is really good here. The skin is thin enough and doesn't tear when you hold it up with a pair of chopsticks. 蒜泥白肉 & cold tofu with century egg is very good too.
Sweet-sour crispy eggplant ($13.80). Nice to snack on as a starter
Sliced pork in garlic sauce impressed our table. Simple serving, yet complex in flavours
When Swee Choon is too crowded , try this. Their veg , beancurd and XLB are surprisingly good!
Family enjoyed their unique variety of vegetable options
Their griddled cabbage is simple, crunchy yet tasty!
Sesame lotus root dish is another easy-to-snack appetiser
Very good as always. Never take photos, food come we STEAM it into our throats and tummy!
Xiao long bao @ $4.80/6.80 for 5/8 pieces resp. Fish maw soup and 卡酱面. Not bad overall but very out of the way. Located next to Beancurd city though.
Sheng Jian Bae here is not very authentic . Stick to the XiaoLongBao and Gyozas .
XLBs are freshly-made on the spot
Parking . Nearest lots are along Veerasamy Road , and @ Blk 638 multi-storey carpark behind the restaurant
Braised duck wings were well stewed . $6 for this serving
Underrated gem: restaurant-grade food that is served fast and piping hot. Tasty to boot.
Chinese tea is $2.50 per person, water (hot/cold) is 50-cents. Refillable
Xiao Lung Bao
Affordable Shanghainese cuisine. The xiao long baos are good but the rest are passable.
