This is one of Duluth's best kept secrets. It's a slice of Lake Superior's gorgeous north shore geography much closer to home.

Tischer Creek ranges from a babbling brook, to chunky rapids, to full-on waterfalls . Lose yourself in the natural surroundings, and you'll completely forget that you're still in Duluth city limits.

The hiking trail closer to the river was damaged badly by the flood in 2012. But, the city repaired the gravel trail in June 2016 and it's better than ever!

This property was once owned by the infamous Congdon family. But, they donated much of the land when they built the now-historic Glensheen Mansion in the early 1900s.
