It is a steep hike but very worth it. People complain about the path but it's a rock/gravel mix good for walking. Check out the fire tower and abandoned hotel ruins.

There is an old school outhouse behind the interpretive center, complete with a crescent moon cut in the door. Pretty good condition for an outhouse.

Great hike in the snow season too (though even more challenging). But very silent peaceful hike when snow on the ground is absorbing most sounds.

This is less of a hike and more of walk on a step dirt road in the hot sun for 2 miles but after you reach the abandoned hotel it becomes enjoyable

Fairly steep 2.5 mile hike but totally worth it for the view . Stunning. Watch out for rattle snakes though!

Dave Fisher

The constant incline on this hike is a killer but well worth it for the views .

Prepare yourself for the wind and think lightly. Great views from the top!

Keep an eye out on the shady parts of the trail for tiny frogs hopping across the path!

modern day NY ruins! So cool to see the shell of the old hotel still standing. FYI beware of the 2 mile fully uphill hike!! This is definitely not for beginners. Worth it when you get there though! - Faith

Awesome trail with a beautiful view of Hudson Valley at the top. Very slippery in the winter, make sure to grab a walking stick. - Alyssa Bereznak
