This place is what inspired the color "Filoli Green." The gardens and architecture of the estate are absolutely beautiful year-round, and the gift shop is very interesting to look at.

One the USA’s finest remaining country estates , Filoli dates back to the early 20th century. The home & gardens of this 654-acre estate are recorded on the National Register of Historic Places.

Even if you don't pay to go into the buildings (although you should) you will be mesmerized by the gorgeous lush gardens . The views are transcendent. This would be a brilliant spot for a first date.

Construction began on Filoli in 1915 from designs by architect Willis Polk. This Georgian estate was named after William Bourn's motto: FIght for a just cause; LOve your fellow man; LIve a good life.

The gardens are magical. They also do tea time occasionally here.

Early April Saturday, tulips & daffodils everywhere. Hours of trails . Off beaten path, few obnoxious tourists . Pricey at $15 per, but worth it. My 7yr old girl loved it. Read more

Christmas at Filoli... My first time and we had to pay 25 dollars per person to shop. All rooms xmas decorated so not good for a first visit and to pay to shop? Not worth it. But beautiful grounds
