Skinner Butte Park

Great park ! Toys for the kids, great place to picnic ! Hike to the top or drive, beautiful view of downtown Eugene ! You can also walk along the river . The bike trail also runs through the park ...

Great place for a hike in the city . Don't be afraid to try some of the trails less travelled!

The big playground at the base of the butte by the river is really awesome. Huge jungle gym that looks like the Butte, an old west town , huge sandbox where kids can dig for fossils and water features

Hike here when (if ever) it snows in Eugene. At night. Do this and experience the park in a romanticized light.

Fairly easy hike to the top. Great view of downtown Eugene . Spotted a bald eagle in the treetops.

Walk/run/bike/drive to the top for great views of Eugene. :)

The butte is part of a bald eagle 's fishing and cruising territory. Watch for it when you're up there. You can usually get a fairly close look of it flying around.
